This morning, the London Assembly has the opportunity to vote down the Mayor’s draft Housing Strategy, the document setting out all of the GLA’s housing policies.
Before the vote, we will have the opportunity to question the Mayor on his housing policies. We’ll ask why the Mayor’s housing target doesn’t even bother to meet the level of need identified by his own evidence base. I’ll question his anemic affordable housing targets, and probe why he’s doing nothing to get genuinely family-sized homes built.
Following the questions, the Assembly will have the opportunity to veto the strategy if it secures a two-thirds majority vote.
You can watch the session live from 10am in the Chamber at City Hall, or online here.
