The Lyons Housing Review has been asked by Labour to draw up a road map that will set out the changes to housing and planning policies and practice that are required to deliver the 200,000 homes a year Labour has pledged. To help inform its work the Review accepted submissions, and I contributed to this process.
My submission proposes a comprehensive set of measures, particularly strategic planning, which would facilitate meeting the housing need of London and the South East. It builds on the last Labour government’s success in regenerating our towns and cities, and in creating sustainable communities.
