Plenary on transport

This morning the London Assembly will hold a plenary to put Boris Johnson’s feet to the fire over his annual fares increases and other transport issues. This is a chance to look in detail at the role and shape of transport in the capital.

As usual at Plenaries, the Assembly will also consider motions on several topics. I am moving a motion condemning the Mayor’s pact with the Secretary of State to push through controversial changes to London Plan policy on affordable housing, despite the objections of boroughs and the London Assembly and the recommendations of an independent planning inspector.

I will also second a motion on Earls Court, calling on Transport for London not to move ahead with the project until a number of outstanding issues are resolved.

You can watch the Plenary live from 10am here
